Green Housing

ECOCASA is a housing program that aims to improve people’s quality of life, reduce energy consumption and protect the environment. CADU has participated in the ECOCASA program since 2013, as a result, we are contributing to the transformation of the housing market in Mexico.

The ECOCASA program aims to reduce GHG emissions by at least 20% and up to 40%, as well as to protect water. As of the end of 2025, we have built more than 27,600 houses as part of the ECOCASA program.

The EDGE Certification, granted by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) of the World Bank Group, recognizes buildings that incorporate resource-efficient practices and include clear metrics to evaluate their performance.

To obtain the certification, it is necessary to demonstrate a minimum reduction of 20% in energy, water, and embodied energy in materials. For EDGE Advanced, at least a 40% reduction in energy consumption is required, along with a minimum of 20% savings in the remaining categories. As of the end of March 2026, we have more than 4,100 homes certified under EDGE.
